Aotea | Whanganui
The Māori Land Court Aotea district covers a land area of approximately 1,284,284 hectares. Of that, 414,964 hectares is Māori Land.
The boundaries start from the Mōkau River, heading east to Lake Taupō at the Waihaha River across Lake Taupō to Rangitaiki then south along the Ruahine & Tararua Ranges to Palliser Bay.
Population
According to the 2006 Census, the Māori population in the region was 113,523 representing 20% percent of the total New Zealand Māori population.

Blair Anderson

Blair returns to the Ministry of Justice and Māori Land Court after an absence of five years. He started his career with the Department of Māori Affairs and moved into the Ministry when it took over responsibility for servicing the Court. For the past three years Blair has been a Contracts Advisor for Te Puni Kōkiri and prior to this, he worked with the Department of Internal Affairs in the Local Government and Community Branch.
