Supreme Court

For appeals from New Zealand, the Supreme Court of New Zealand replaces the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council located in London, and came into being on 1 January 2004.

Family Court

Division of the District Court

Family Court proceedings are not open to the public and there are statutory restrictions against publication of reports of proceedings. Persons wanting access to decisions of the Family Court that have not been released need to prove to the Court Registrar that they have a proper interest in the case. Contact the District Court.

Youth Court

Division of the District Court

Youth Court proceedings are not open to the public and there are statutory restrictions against publication of reports of proceedings.
