This is not a list of occupational and professional licensing functions. As the heading indicates, it is limited to bodies separately established by statute for licensing and related functions; it is probably not complete even in those terms and the Committee would welcome corrections and additions to it. Accordingly, it does not include the great variety of licensing functions exercised within central and local government for instance in respect of transport (by road, sea and air), education, health and building (to make just a limited selection).
