THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE’S DATABASE OF NEW ZEALAND’S MULTILATERAL AGREEMENTS
Welcome to the Ministry of Justice’s database of New Zealand’s multilateral
agreements. Its purpose is to enhance awareness of New Zealand international
obligations. It consists of five parts:

- Multilateral Agreements deposited with the United
Nations that identifies their current status, whether New Zealand is a party,
and the reservations that New Zealand has entered (if any)
- Multilateral Agreements that relate to New Zealand’s
Justice Sector Statutes
- Multilateral Agreements of special importance to New
Zealand's Justice Sector Statutes
- Related World Wide Web Sites
Important Notice
- This database concerns only those multilateral agreements deposited with the
Secretary-General of the United Nations. It does not relate to any other
multilateral agreements, or any bilateral agreements, or any other types of
international document or obligation.
- No liability is accepted in respect of any person who makes any use of the
information contained in this database or who in any way copies or relies on any
of the information contained in this database. The information is provided solely
to enhance people’s awareness of the possible scope and extent of New
Zealand’s international obligations and to provide users with a list of sites
where further information can be obtained.
- Users should especially note that Parts III and IV are not definitive. Only
some of the multilateral agreements that relate to statutes within the justice
sector are listed in those parts. There are many other international obligations
which are relevant to the statutes listed in those Parts but are not listed
anywhere in this database and no liability is accepted in respect of any person
who in any way relies on any of the information contained in these Parts.
