The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1 Title
This Act is Sentencing and Parole Reform Act 2001

2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on 1 April 2002.

  1. Part 1: Sentencing purposes and principles, and provisions of general application
  2. Part 2: Sentences, orders, and related matters
  3. Part 3: Parole and other release from imprisonment
  4. Part 4: New Zealand Parole Board and amendments to other enactments relating to parole and release generally
  5. Schedule 1: Amendments to other enactments
  6. Schedule 2: Regulations amended
  7. Schedule 3: Enactments repealed
  8. Schedule 4: Amendments to other enactments
