Judge disagreed considering: that cost of residential course must be considered against cost to community of H’s continued offending; victim’s views; no family support for H; H willing to undertake the course (CYPFA s5(d)); course would re-integrate H into the community (CYPFA s208(d), s208(f)(i)). Court has no power to recommend financial assistance be provided.

Decision: H remanded in hope that application will be discussed again between Youth Justice Co-ordinator and CYPFS.
