Applications made under the Marine & Coastal Area Act

The deadline for applications was 3 April 2017 and applications are currently being processed. All applications for direct engagement with the Crown will be listed below once details have been confirmed. Information regarding applications in the High Court can be requested from the Court.

If you are applying for resource consent, permit or approvals in the common marine and coastal area you need to notify and seek the views of any group that has applied for recognition of customary marine title in the area.

Applications in the North Island are sorted by regional council jurisdiction. Applications in the South Island are grouped together. If an application falls into more than one jurisdiction, it will be listed in both sections.
