• Area of law (for example, civil)
• Type of case/s (ACC, Employment)
• Language/s

The tool allows you to search for legal aid providers based on their area of law, type of case, and language capability. This can help you find a lawyer who practises in the type of case you need help with and who may be able to provide services in your preferred language.

If you are looking for a lawyer to represent you, make sure the search results do not say that the lawyer is “supervised” for the law type you are looking for. Lawyers who are supervised in a law type cannot be assigned to you for those matters.

The tool is updated regularly and the information shown here is correct to the best of our knowledge.
