Have your say on the prevention and elimination of family violence and sexual violence

A safe and confidential online public survey on the prevention and elimination of family and sexual violence is live on Citizen Space:

National Strategy and Action Plans - Have Your Say(external link)

The information gathered from the survey will inform the content of the National Strategy and Action Plans.

The Government is interested in hearing from many communities, especially those affected by violence.

The National Strategy will create a shared understanding of how to eliminate family violence and sexual violence in Aotearoa New Zealand over time and provide a mandate for action. Action Plans will ensure we are prioritising the same things and that we are moving in the same direction together.

The National Strategy and Action Plans will ensure the Government and communities work together and that the kōrero is ongoing as we learn more about what works to bring real change.

The survey isn’t the only way to make your voice heard. Email and freepost submissions will be open to all people in Aotearoa New Zealand. Submissions can be sent by individuals or groups, written or by an emailed voice recording or video statement. The Government is also reaching out to work with communities to host their own conversations and send in feedback.
