Highly victimised people. This report provides a statistical picture of the most highly victimised four percent of New Zealand adults who experience 47% of all crime incidents. We define highly victimised people as those who experienced four or more criminal incidents within a 12-month period. In this report highly victimised people are compared with other victims to assess how this population differs and what are the key factors contributing in high victimisation. The findings are supported by charts and infographics.

Offences against New Zealand adults by family members. The New Zealand Crime and Victims Survey (Cycle 1) reported that 79,000 New Zealand adults had experienced offences committed by family members over the previous 12 months. These offences include both those reported to Police and those not reported. This report provides more information on who experiences offences by family members, what types of offences are experienced, and what services victims interact with. The findings are supported by statistical tables and charts.
