Ashburton District Court will be closed on Monday 31 May 2021 and Tuesday 1 June 2021 due to the State of Emergency that has been invoked in Ashburton.
All List Court Matters scheduled for Monday 31 May 2021 and the Judge Alone Trials set for Tuesday 1 June 2021 have been adjourned to an alternate earliest date. Court staff are endeavouring to contact all counsel today in relation to these cases.
All custodial matters will be heard by a Judge remotely in relation via Audio visual means and court staff will work with Police, Corrections and Counsel for these matters.
