A process to finalise the scope of the new Crown/Māori relations portfolio has been launched today.
The Minister for Crown/Māori Relations, Hon Kelvin Davis, is seeking feedback on how the relationship can be improved and what the priority areas of work should be.
A series of hui will be held across the country during April and May and will seek New Zealanders’ thoughts and feedback on how the relationship between the Crown and Māori can be made healthier. Hui are open to the general public and there’s an online feedback form for those who can’t attend in person.
The purpose of the new Crown/Māori Relations portfolio is to focus on the health of the Crown/Māori relationship. Before finalising the exact scope and priorities the Minister is seeking feedback from New Zealanders on his initial thoughts.
Anyone can have their say; and there are 3 ways to be involved:
Kanohi ki te kanohi: Attend one of the hui/meetings that will be held across the country.
Online: Complete the online feedback form.
