Wellington Anniversary Day is observed on Monday 19 January 2026. The following court locations will be closed (including National Office): Dannevirke, Levin, Marton, Masterton, Hutt Valley, Palmerston North, Porirua, Taihape, Wellington and Whanganui.
Normal operating hours resume on Tuesday 20 January 2026.
The Birdlings Flat Land Title Commissioner's main role was to make written orders so that land at Birdlings Flat on Banks Peninsula, Canterbury, can be divided into separate titles.
The Commissioner completed their functions in 2000 and the jurisdiction is no longer active.
The Act was repealed on 14 November 2018.
