A temporary Non-Contact Order lasts for 3 months. Temporary Non-Contact Orders may be put in place if someone applies ‘without notice’.
The court can say how long a final Non-Contact Order will last.
If the court doesn’t set a time limit on the Non-Contact Order, it’ll last for 2 years.
You can ask the court to make the Non-Contact Order last longer.
You can also ask the court to end the Non-Contact Order early. You’ll have to prove to the court that it’s not needed anymore.
