Licensing Authority of Secondhand Dealers & Pawnbrokers
We will soon be changing all our application forms for licences and certificates. The new application will no longer include the statutory declaration. Instead you will need to provide a copy of your photo ID such as driver's licence, passport or Kiwi Access Card. You will also be able to submit your applications online and pay by credit card or debit card.
The Licensing Authority of Secondhand Dealers & Pawnbrokers (LASDP) looks after licenses and certificates for secondhand dealers and pawnbrokers.
The Secondhand Dealers and Pawnbrokers Act 2004 (the Act) lists the things that disqualify a person from being granted a certificate or individual licence and for a company being granted a company licence.
