Petros Tafadzwa Chakwizira

Notice of Payment into Victims’ Claims Trust Account

A compensation payment has been made to Petros Tafadzwa Chakwizira in respect of a specified claim under the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (the Act).

The Act requires that after the Secretary of Justice makes certain deductions from the compensation payment, the surplus remaining goes into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to enable victims of Petros Tafadzwa Chakwizira to make claims against it.

Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to Petros Tafadzwa Chakwizira

On 26 October 2023 $4,000.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Petros Tafadzwa Chakwizira

The money paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account is held in trust for Petros Tafadzwa Chakwizira until it has been paid out in accordance with subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.

Any person who has been a victim of Petros Tafadzwa Chakwizira, in respect of an offence for which Petros Tafadzwa Chakwizira was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Petros Tafadzwa Chakwizira

Claims by victims are not limited to the amount available in the Trust Account.
