Notice of payment into Victims’ Claims Trust Account

This is the current list of offenders that have been awarded compensation - surnames K-O:

Glen Jack-Kino

A compensation payment has been made to Glen Jack-Kino in respect of a specified claim under the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (the Act).

The Act requires that after the Secretary of Justice makes certain deductions from the compensation payment, the surplus remaining goes into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to enable victims of Glen Jack-Kino to make claims against it.

Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to Glen Jack-Kino.

On 23 September 2023 $57,408 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Glen Jack-Kino.

The money paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account is held in trust for Glen Jack-Kino until it has been paid out in accordance with subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.

Any person who has been a victim of Glen Jack-Kino, in respect of an offence for which Glen Jack-Kino was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Glen Jack-Kino.

Claims by victims are not limited to the amount available in the Trust Account.

 A compensation payment has been made to Christian Leighton Kohi; William Te Maro in respect of a specified claim under the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (the Act).

The Act requires that after the Secretary of Justice makes certain deductions from the compensation payment, the surplus remaining goes into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to enable victims of Christian Leighton Kohi; William Te Maro to make claims against it.

On 21 July 2023, $1,298.94 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Christian Leighton Kohi; William Te Maro.

The money paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account is held in trust for Christian Leighton Kohi; William Te Maro until it has been paid out in accordance with subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.

A compensation payment has been made to Teariki Marsters; Mataitai Tauaese; David Nelson in respect of a specified claim under the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (the Act).
