This is the current list of offenders that have been awarded compensation - surnames P-T:

George Christopher Pomee

A compensation payment has been made to George Christopher Pomee in respect of a specified claim under the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (the Act).

The Act requires that after the Secretary of Justice makes certain deductions from the compensation payment, the surplus remaining goes into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to enable victims of George Christopher Pomee to make claims against it.

Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to George Christopher Pomee

On 19 February 2024, $20,000.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of George Christopher Pomee

The money paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account is held in trust for George Christopher Pomee until it has been paid out in accordance with subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.

Any person who has been a victim of George Christopher Pomee, in respect of an offence for which George Christopher Pomee was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of George Christopher Pomee

Claims by victims are not limited to the amount available in the Trust Account.
