Preliminary balloting information

In the week before you are due to appear for jury service, the court may choose to pre-ballot to help reduce the number of people who need to come to court. In these cases, the names of people who might serve on the jury are randomly drawn from the full list of people who were summoned for jury service on that day.

If preliminary balloting occurs in your trial, the time and date, as well as details on how to observe it, will be published under the relevant court below.
