If you‘re a victim of an offender named in a notice of payment into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account, you may be entitled to make a claim against the money awarded to the offender.

Notice of payment into Victims’ Claims Trust Account

This is the current list of offenders that have been awarded compensation - surnames A-E:

Anna Marie Collings

A compensation payment has been made to Anna Marie Collings in respect of a specified claim under the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (the Act).

The Act requires that after the Secretary of Justice makes certain deductions from the compensation payment, the surplus remaining goes into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to enable victims of Anna Marie Collings to make claims against it.
Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to Anna Marie Collings

On 5 September 2025 $3,500.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Anna Marie Collings

The money paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account is held in trust for Anna Marie Collings until it has been paid out in accordance with subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.

Any person who has been a victim of Anna Marie Collings in respect of an offence for which Anna Marie Collings was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Anna Marie Collings

Claims by victims are not limited to the amount available in the Trust Account.

A compensation payment has been made to Tama Karu EDGECOMBE AKA Tamaiwea Kauru
EDGECOMBE; Tama Kauru EDGECOMBE; Tama Kaura EDGECOMBE in respect of a specified claim
under the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (the Act).
