Regan Peter VAN SYP

A compensation payment has been made to Regan Peter VAN SYP in respect of a specified claim under the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (the Act).

The Act requires that after the Secretary of Justice makes certain deductions from the compensation payment, the surplus remaining goes into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to enable victims of Regan Peter VAN SYP to make claims against it.

Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to Regan Peter VAN SYP.

On 13 December 2025 $15,000.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Regan Peter VAN SYP.

The money paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account is held in trust for Regan Peter VAN SYP until it has been paid out in accordance with subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.

Any person who has been a victim of Regan Peter VAN SYP, in respect of an offence for which Regan Peter VAN SYP was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Regan Peter VAN SYP.

Claims by victims are not limited to the amount available in the Trust Account.
