Jury Service for the week commencing 31 August 2026
Members of the public summonsed to attend at the Wellington District Court for jury service are required to come to the Jury Assembly Area on Level 3 of the Wellington District Court by 9:15am on Monday 31 August and sign in at the kiosk. The entrance is on the ground floor where you will be subject to security screening before making your way up to level 3 by way of the lifts or stairwell. Further information regarding security screening and travelling to court is provided below.
Those jurors already selected for a jury trial are asked to follow the instructions given to you by the Judge or court staff.
If you have any questions or enquiries and would like to speak to a jury officer, please contact 0800 268 787 during business hours Monday to Friday.
Your contribution to the New Zealand justice system and your community is valued and appreciated.
Ngā mihi nui, thank you for your service.
SECURITY AT COURT
Please note a search station will be operating. Please leave the following (and related) items at home:
•Sharp objects including scissors, screwdrivers, and tolls
•Metal cutlery, forks, and knives (including pocketknives)
•Glass and/or metal bottles and containers
Any laptops, cell phones, other electronic devices, and keys will need to be taken out of your bag and put into the security trays for screening, so please have those ready before you get to the front.
TRAVELLING TO THE COURT
We encourage jurors to use public transport to get to the court whenever possible. Street parking around the Court has a 2-hour time limit enforced by Wellington City Council parking services. The Court does not pay car parking fines incurred whilst on jury service.
